Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range for this position is a nationwide market range, representing a broad spectrum of salaries across the country. The actual salary will depend on factors such as role scope, complexity, location, candidate skills, education, experience, and other employment conditions. Employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentives as part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program.

What Is the Opportunity?

At Travelers, our Enterprise Operations teams deliver exceptional customer and agent experiences, drive revenue and underwriting results, and foster a culture of innovation and efficiency. The Premium Audit group conducts audits on property & casualty commercial lines policies to ensure proper classifications, exposures, and premium basis, in compliance with regulations. As a Sr Premium Auditor Associate, you will perform audits of increasing complexity with minimal oversight, which may be conducted virtually or in-person.

This position is fully remote, with a mix of mobile and home-based work, supporting the California territory during core hours aligned with Pacific Time.

What Will You Do?

  • Conduct audits of moderately complex Commercial Lines policies, including Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, Auto, etc., through interviews, reviews, and verification of business operations to determine classifications and exposures.
  • Review financial records such as payroll, tax returns, and ledgers to finalize exposures.
  • Communicate audit findings to customers, agents/brokers, and internal partners, mainly underwriting, to clarify premium changes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, agents/brokers, underwriters, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay informed on industry and company updates relevant to premium auditing.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • At least two years of premium audit experience across various property and casualty commercial lines.
  • Completion of APA 91 and 92.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong analytical skills for conducting audits efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

What Is a Must Have?

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum one year of premium audit or related experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
