Role Summary

The Senior Prefabrication Integration Specialist will support prefabrication efforts on large or complex projects or multiple small projects in collaboration with project teams and prefabrication leadership. This position will act as a subject matter specialist bringing knowledge of prefabrication best practices to assigned projects and supporting efforts to improve organizational knowledge, processes, and tools related to prefabrication. All activities will be performed in support of JE Dunn’s strategy, vision, and values.

  1. Autonomy & Decision Making: Makes decisions on assigned areas of responsibility, provides recommendations to supervisors, and refers all exceptions to supervisors as needed.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core

PREFABRICATION INTEGRATION SPECIALIST FAMILY – CORE

  • Supports project-level efforts to integrate prefabrication work under the guidance of a Prefabrication Integration Manager.
  • Tracks and records prefabrication-related project metrics and may conduct basic analysis.
  • Addresses questions and provides resources to project teams.
  • Implements prefabrication best practices on projects through presentations, training, and individual conversations.
  • Communicates potential process and resource changes based on project experiences to prefabrication management.
  • Develops knowledge of prefabrication resources, implementation guides, and best practices.
  • Engages cross-functionally with field, operations, and supporting functions like Lean, Design, Pre-Construction, Virtual Design & Construction, Scheduling, etc., to support prefabrication management.
  • Identifies and recommends opportunities for integration, collaborating with Prefabrication leadership to develop actionable recommendations for project teams.
Key Role Responsibilities - Additional Core

SENIOR PREFABRICATION INTEGRATION SPECIALIST

In addition, this position will be responsible for:

  • Answering more complex or detailed questions from project teams from preconstruction through handoff to owners.
  • Building relationships with operations functions across JE Dunn to support increased collaboration and prefabrication utilization on projects.
  • Assisting with the development of lessons learned and best practices, including refining implementation guides.
  • Analyzing project data related to prefabrication efforts to identify improvements and opportunities.
  • Contributing to project team trainings and communications highlighting prefabrication opportunities.
  • Creating project-specific materials and tools applicable to each project's unique characteristics and scalable across the organization.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Intermediate communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Intermediate organizational skills.
  • Ability to conduct effective presentations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office at an intermediate level.
  • Interest in integrating prefabrication and manufacturing processes into commercial construction.
  • Introductory knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of construction processes.
  • Ability to build relationships that transcend individual projects.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within teams internally and externally.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field (preferred).
  • Equivalent relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing and/or construction environment (preferred).
Working Environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • May require extensive travel.
  • Willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs.
  • May be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold).
  • Assignment location may include project sites and/or office.
  • Frequent activity: Sitting, viewing computer screen.
  • Occasional activity: Standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching above shoulder, pushing, pulling.
