Job summary

Kitchell is seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Manager / Sr. Project Manager (OSHPD/HCAI) to join the Bay Area region in San Francisco. Approximately 12 months of pre-construction services for a large ground-up hospital project, with front-end work that can be done remotely.

Phase Two shifts to on-site PM/CM services at the project site, coordinating with Owners, contractors, engineers and hospital stakeholders; strong emphasis on safety, quality, cost controls, and schedule management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline preferred.
• 12+ years of construction experience with minimum 5 years in the California Healthcare market sector as a PM.
• Experience with pre-construction programming and stakeholder coordination is required.
• Experience working with hospital stakeholders (Physicians, Staff, Facilities) is preferred.
• Experience with hospital ground-up tower construction projects greater than $150M.

Responsibilities

• Execute pre-construction services for a new ground-up hospital tower.
• Act as an Owners Representative with direct client / stakeholder facing responsibilities.
• On-site quality assurance of contractor work.
• Coordinate, direct, and monitor activities of contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entities.
• Manage project controls, cost, schedule, performance activities, and procedures required by the client.
• Conduct project meetings and provide documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information.
• Ensure contractor, architect, and engineer adhere to contractual requirements on safety, performance, staff and equipment.
• Provide management of project logistics, organization, safety, and workforce utilization.
• Ensure project closeout to obtain guarantees, warranties, and related provisions for final delivery to owner.
