Job summary

Headwaters Construction Company in Draper, UT is seeking a Preconstruction Manager. You will lead preconstruction from concept through construction start, including estimating, scheduling, value engineering and constructability reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of preconstruction experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Ability to present cost data and create reports.
• Experience with estimating software including SmartBidNet, Bluebeam, On-Screen Take Off, and Excel.
• Analytical and math skills, detail oriented.
• Ability to understand technical drawings and requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the preconstruction process from conception of design to the beginning of construction.
• Build trust and provide leadership to the project team through professional services that result in best value
• Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for a project in order to thoroughly understand each project’s scope of work
• Present cost estimates to our internal management team as well as the project owner
• Prepare reports detailing all of the costs going into a project and options for value engineering
• Provide assistance to design teams for project design
• Prepare options studies & design alternatives
• Prepare preconstruction schedules
• Review design documents for constructability & biddability
• Manage subcontractor/supplier procurement
• Prepare subcontractor contracts and supplier purchase orders

Education

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field

Due to growth, Headwaters Construction Company is looking for an honest and personable Preconstruction Manager to join our Draper, UT Office. Interested individuals should be able to provide preconstruction services for our clients through estimating, preliminary scheduling, value engineering, and constructability reviews. Headwaters Construction Company is a Construction Manager and General Contractor and we do not self- perform any specific trade work. This is a full-time, salary position, based on experience.

What You Need
