Clark Construction Group, LLC seeks an experienced Estimator/Preconstruction professional in the Baltimore region to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for complex projects. You will lead portions of multi-discipline estimates, review drawings and specifications, and supervise junior estimators on multiple pursuits.
The role emphasizes site conditions awareness, risk assessment, and collaboration with owners, subcontractors, and internal teams to finalize accurate quotations.
The Estimating/Preconstruction Department of Clark Construction is responsible for preparing budgets and bids for all Clark projects, and for continuous preconstruction on awarded projects that are in the development phase.
This is an active, hands-on role. You will be on your feet frequently, navigating active job sites with uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists. The role requires the ability to lift and carry materials up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. You must be able to communicate effectively, read plans, and inspect work. Desk time in the office may involve prolonged sitting for computer work, document review, and meetings.
The job requires work on active construction sites with varying weather, moderate to loud noise levels, and confined spaces. You will also spend time in a typical office setting with moderate noise. Safety is a top priority; you must follow Clark Construction’s safety policies and procedures, and applicable laws at all locations.
This is a demanding, high-performance environment. Candidates must be energized by challenge, thrive under pressure, and be prepared to work extended hours during critical project phases or client deadlines. Availability to respond to phone calls, emails, and text messages for time-sensitive matters or emergencies is expected.
Base salary range: $110,000 – 225,000, with bonus potential.
