Job summary

Murphy Company is seeking a Preconstruction Manager for our Colorado Springs, CO office to lead budget development, negotiate projects, and drive successful preconstruction activities across design-build and design-assist delivery methods. This role emphasizes strong relationships with clients and design partners to secure opportunities and ensure profitable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years in estimating, cost control, and preconstruction.
• Experience with LEED requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications and estimating software.
• Strong communication with owners, architects, and general contractors.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer solutions and build client relationships.
• Coordinate mechanical design with design team.
• Develop mechanical scope and budgets from RFPs.
• Prepare final estimates and support turnover to operations.
• Identify value engineering opportunities.
• Lead preconstruction activities to ensure profitability.
