Alston Construction in Dallas, TX seeks a Preconstruction Manager to lead the preconstruction phase, develop accurate and competitive proposals, and support business development.

You will supervise bid activities, prepare cost estimates, perform takeoffs, review drawings, and coordinate with design teams and subcontractors to improve profitability.

This role requires robust knowledge of design-build and CM-at-Risk delivery, travel flexibility, and a commitment to safety and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• OSHA 10-hour Certification.
• First Aid/CPR Certification.
• Experience with design-build projects and value engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate preconstruction activities to develop thorough, accurate, and competitive proposals.
• Develop cost estimates, conduct takeoffs, and analyze design options for value-engineering opportunities.
• Review drawings/specifications, manage bid meetings, and prepare bid packages.
• Maintain subcontractor database and lead negotiation with clients and subs.
