Corning Incorporated in Corning, New York, is seeking two Machine Design Engineer - Precision Systems to join the Science & Technology organization at Sullivan Park. You will design and develop custom precision machines, tooling, fixturing, and motion-controlled systems used to create, test, refine, and scale new products and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
Experience designing and developing complex mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

Design and develop custom precision machines, tooling, fixturing, and mechanical subsystems.
Create robust mechanical solutions for new products and capabilities.
Translate requirements into equipment designs and system functionality.
Solve challenges in precision motion, tolerance control, and system integration.
Work across prototypes, internal platforms, and production-ready systems.
Integrate components and processes into custom machine solutions.
Collaborate with R&D, Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
