Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precaste Inspector II to lead plant quality control for precast and prestressed production and to oversee owner/agency inspections for DOT and structural programs. You will verify prestressing operations, review design and strength records, and decide on acceptance or rejection of products.

Your role includes maintaining PCI and DOT QC records, supervising Level I inspectors, and coordinating daily coverage.

Qualifications

• PCI Level II certification required; 2+ years in a certified plant.
• Knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT precast specs.
• ACI Strength Testing certification preferred.
• Ability to maintain production to spec when schedules tighten.

Responsibilities

• Verify prestressing operations: strand certification, tensioning, elongation, detensioning, and transfer strength.
• Review mix designs, batch tickets, and strength records.
• Accept or reject finished products against specifications and shop drawings.
• Maintain plant QC records for PCI/DOT programs and supervise Level I inspectors.
• Assign daily coverage and review inspectors' records.
