We’re hiring a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer to drive technical wins and grow your business, alongside a Territory Manager, for your assigned territory. You’ll blend deep networking expertise with consultative selling to help customers and partners modernize networks, simplify architecture, accelerate deployment, and improve operational efficiency, differentiating HPE Networking from other vendors in the industry. This is a career-level role for someone who loves complex environments, enjoys being customer-facing, and can confidently articulate why a solution matters across all levels—from hands‑on engineers to executive stakeholders. Ideal candidates reside in/around Omaha, Nebraska. This role supports enterprise customers across the state of Nebraska. Candidate must be willing to travel within Nebraska for on‑site customer visits, 30%. If candidate resides outside of Nebraska, weekly on‑site visits to Nebraska customers is expected and will result in more than 30% travel.
Minimum weekly on-site meetings with enterprise accounts in Nebraska. For candidates located outside of this will be a greater amount of travel in order to support the territory.
5+ years of experience in a manufacturer or partner Sales Engineer role, or 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer/Architect designing, deploying, and operating full-stack enterprise networks.
5+ years of experience with WIFI, networking protocols, SD-WAN, switching (L2/L3) and Lan Security technologies.
5+ years of experience with routing protocols including but not limited to BGP, OSPF, EVPN-VXLAN.
5+ years of experience with security protocols (NGFW concepts, security policy, LAN micro segmentation, and modern approaches including SASE/SSE) and network management.
Aruba experience is preferred.
Firewall, SSE, SASE experience preferred.
Customer‑facing excellence: you communicate clearly, present confidently, and translate technical capabilities into business outcomes.
Consultative selling: you gather the right customer inputs, tailor solutions, and anticipate what will work best for a given environment.
Operating rhythm: strong organization, ability to multitask, set priorities, and manage multiple high‑velocity opportunities simultaneously.
Travel: ability to travel up to ~30%.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering/related field, or equivalent practical experience.

"The expected salary/wage range for this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. – United States of America: Annual Salary USD 146,000 - 343,000 in Iowa & Kansas & Missouri & Nebraska This range reflects the minimum to maximum combined base and target‑level sales compensation that would be paid if the hire performs at 100% of their sales plan. Of that on‑target pay amount, the mix of base salary and target‑level sales compensation is 75%/25%.
