Job description

Our Client, Bexley Council, is looking for a Senior Practitioner to join their Children Looked After Team.

In this role, you will build positive, supportive, and respectful relationships with families to help support children in need of help or protection. You will assist families in raising their children safely within their network, supporting and augmenting their support systems. When this is not possible, you will explore and implement alternative plans to ensure children grow up in safe, nurturing, and stable homes that achieve long-term permanence. This role requires working in a supported practice environment that encourages professional judgment, autonomy, experience, knowledge, and skills, aligned with the Signs of Safety practice model used when working with children, families, and the wider professional network.

What you need:

  • QSW Status, including qualification, Social Work England registration, and completed ASYE
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience
  • Right to work in the UK
