WNC Corp. is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to drive quality planning and prevent defects across new product introductions and manufacturing.
You will lead PFMEA, control plans, FAI and quality inspections, translating customer requirements into robust processes. You will monitor production quality, lead corrective actions, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain and R&D to reduce defects and improve processes.

1. Product Quality Planning: Participate in NPI and Manufacturing Readiness Reviews. Lead PFMEA, Control Plan, FAI and quality inspection planning activities. Ensure customer quality requirements are properly translated into manufacturing and quality control requirements. Establish product quality control standards and validation mechanisms for new products.
2. Product Quality Management: Monitor production quality performance. Analyze quality trends and drive improvement activities. Lead investigations and corrective actions for major quality issues. Establish quality KPIs and monitoring mechanisms.
3. Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement: Utilize 8D, RCA, and CAPA methodologies to drive problem resolution. Conduct process capability analysis and improvement activities. Reduce defect rates, rework, and cost of poor quality. Drive Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives.
4. Customer Quality Support: Support customer audits and certification activities. Respond to customer quality issues and track corrective action effectiveness. Participate in customer quality reviews and quality assessment activities.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and R&D teams. Participate in quality risk assessments and product change management activities. Provide quality expertise and technical guidance.
