Job summary

Tata Technologies seeks an Engine Development Engineer to drive design, calibration, validation, and performance optimization of gaseous-fueled ICE platforms. The role leverages ATI Vision, testing, and data analytics to improve emissions, durability, and control systems while supporting new engine and generator product launches.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical/automotive/aerospace engineering or related field.
• Experience in automotive powertrain development and calibration.
• Proficiency with ATI/CAN-based calibration tools and Vision.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, validation, and launch of engine and generator products.
• Define engine system requirements and create robust specifications.
• Design and validate engine components and subsystems.
• Calibrate engines including spark timing, AFR, and emissions.
• Develop test plans, validation procedures, and product qualification.
• Analyze engine data with ATI Vision to drive improvements.
• Perform risk, reliability, and cost-benefit analyses.
• Maintain component specs, engineering docs, and BOMs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Support project schedules, cost targets, and deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Travel to Generac facilities and testing locations as required.
