Job Description:

Client is seeking a talented and experienced Azure BI Developer to join our growing IT team in a part time role. As an Azure BI Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our business intelligence solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design data models, and implement BI solutions that provide actionable insights to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform, including data warehouses, data lakes, and analytical models.
  
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  
• Design and implement data integration processes to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various source systems into the data warehouse.
  
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data pipelines to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing.
  
• Design and implement data visualizations and reports using Power BI or other BI tools to present insights to business users.
  
• Implement data security and governance best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data.
  
• Monitor and troubleshoot BI solutions to identify and resolve performance issues or data discrepancies.
  
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in business intelligence and data analytics.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  
• Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Engineer, with a focus on Microsoft Azure technologies.
  
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Azure SQL Database).
  
• Hands-on experience with Azure data services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics (formerly SQL Data Warehouse), and Azure Analysis Services.
  
• Experience designing and implementing data warehouses and dimensional data models.
  
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  
• Familiarity with data security and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) is a plus.
  
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
