Job summary

Scientific Applications & Research Associates, Inc. (SARA) in Colorado Springs, CO, seeks a Senior Research Engineer (Electrical / Power Systems) to support rapid R&D and power systems studies in the HPEM division. This full-time, on-site role offers growth, leadership, and collaboration on DoD/DOE programs.

The role requires a Master’s degree (or 8+ years) in EE, TS DoD clearance eligibility, and strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or 8+ years of power systems EE experience)
• 8+ years of directly applicable power systems Electrical Engineering experience
• US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain TS DoD security clearance
• Experience with data acquisition equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, probes, spectrum analyzers)
• P.E. Electrical/Power license or exam completion
