Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior System Protection Engineer to lead multidisciplinary design efforts in the Power sector, coordinating engineers, maintaining client relations, and assuming technical leadership on complex projects in the Phoenix area.

We value licensure as a Professional Engineer and 10+ years of Power market experience. You will mentor staff, ensure code compliance, and drive project delivery from schematic through construction, in a dynamic, employee-owned environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Power Market Sector.
• Proficient with design software including AutoCAD, Revit, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, and related tools.
• Strong client relations and project coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the work of design engineers within a multidisciplinary team throughout the project development.
• Establish client relations and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings.
• Assume technical lead within a project execution team.
• Participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance.
• Conduct sessions at project sites with the Project Manager and other disciplines.
• Coordinate workload to complete project deliverables on schedule.
• Mentor staff and direct the activities of other engineering professionals.
