Job summary

The Senior Power Systems Engineer role for LVI Associates' client leads planning, analysis, design, and implementation of complex electrical power systems for mission-critical facilities, industrial infrastructure, and utility-scale projects. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and PE license.
• 10+ years of electrical power system design experience.
• Strong background in MV distribution, protection & controls, and power system studies.
• Experience with utility coordination and switchgear/electrical equipment.
• Experience with generator control and power generation systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, analysis, design, and implementation of power system projects.
• Develop medium- and high-voltage distribution and generation systems.
• Design and coordinate BESS and large utility-scale applications.
• Prepare one-line diagrams, grounding plans, and construction drawings.
• Develop protection philosophies, relay schemes, and coordination studies.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Support commissioning, startup activities, and site investigations.
