Job summary

Teal Energi seeks an Electrical Power Engineer in Downtown Houston to support FEED and EPC phases of a power plant expansion and high-voltage interconnection project. You will join a multidisciplinary PMT to assure design integrity, commissioning readiness, and startup success.

The role requires 12+ years in power engineering, experience with generation and distribution systems, and EPC oversight. Travel may be required, and an on-site, exempt, full-time schedule is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing preferred.
• TWIC card in good standing required.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate electrical design concepts for generators and transmission configurations.
• Review design documentation including Basis of Design and project specifications.
• Coordinate electrical requirements with other disciplines during EPC contractor oversight.
• Provide expert review of power-system studies, load lists, single-line diagrams and datasheets.
• Ensure design assurance and readiness for project turnover and commissioning.
• Travel to project or operating sites as business needs dictate.
