Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Greenville, SC for contract-to-hire design work in industrial power systems (120V-15kV) and PLC controls. You will produce electrical drawings, BOMs, and specifications while guiding designers. Occasional fieldwork and site visits may be required.

The ideal candidate has extensive power systems experience, familiarity with NEC/NFPA, and proficiency in Revit, ETAP, and AutoCAD. PE license preferred and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power systems.
• 10 years of Electrical Engineering experience.
• PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect and prepare data for detailed calculations such as short circuit, voltage drop, and interference checks.
• Design electrical drawing packages: one-line diagrams, BOMs, panel schedules, lighting plans, motor schematics, and conduit plans.
• Create specifications for transformers, switchgear, and motor control centers.
• Complete designs using NEC and applicable standards.
• Provide direction to electrical designers and assist in fieldwork and site installations.
