Job summary

Eaton Corporation’s Power Systems Controls team is seeking a Senior Power Systems Controls Engineer to lead design, programming, installation, startup, maintenance, and optimization of automated control and power management systems for critical infrastructure. This is a hybrid role with approximately 50% travel throughout the Southeast Region of the United States.

You will work closely with customers to deliver reliable, efficient solutions, developing PLC, HMI, and protection schemes, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering with 3+ years PLC programming experience OR 5+ years power distribution controls experience
• Must reside within 50-mile radius of listed locations; no relocation offered
• Valid driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Record; background check on hire

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, test, and deploy PLCs, data concentrators, relays, generator controllers, and HMIs for Automatic Power Transfer applications
• Quote turnkey control schemes, including labor and materials and proposed scope of work
• Assist with factory testing and field start-ups
• Troubleshoot systems on-site and remotely
• Select components and prepare bill of materials
• Provide sketches and direction to Electrical Designers for drawings
