Job summary

PsiQuantum is building the next generation of quantum computing facilities in the United States. We are seeking a Principal Power Systems Architect to define the electrical foundation for a large-scale quantum infrastructure, focusing on power integrity, EMI/EMC, grounding, and noise reduction.

The role requires deep expertise in facility-wide power distribution, AC-DC conversion, and close collaboration with hardware and electronics teams to ensure reliable operation of highly sensitive quantum

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Significant experience in electrical power architecture and infrastructure design for complex facilities.
• Strong understanding of grounding, shielding, EMI/EMC, and power quality in sensitive environments.
• Experience translating system-level electrical requirements into facility/equipment specs.
• Ability to work across facilities, hardware, and electronics teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary interface for building power, conditioning, distribution, grounding, isolation, shielding, EMI, and power quality.
• Develop top-level specs for facility electrical power systems.
• Define power quality requirements for sensitive hardware.
• Analyze and mitigate electrical noise, harmonic distortion, EMI, and interference.
• Guide grounding, shielding, and cable management across facility and equipment.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure coherent electrical infrastructure.
