A leading semiconductor company in Austin is seeking a Senior Staff Application Engineer for its Power Application engineering team. The successful candidate will engage in developing cutting-edge digital power management solutions and will support technical marketing efforts through customer interactions. This role demands expertise in multiphase VR systems, firmware-enabled products in data centers, and experience in product definition and business planning. It offers a hybrid work model, combining the flexibility of remote work with in-office collaboration.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 10 years experience in the power management industry.
• Experience with digitally enabled power management products is required.
• Proficiency with a full complement of lab equipment including network analyzers, oscilloscopes.

Responsibilities

• Support technical marketing through global customer visits.
• Produce technically detailed Product Requirements Document.
• Participate in FPGA based design prototyping.

Skills

Power management industry experience

Firmware-enabled products knowledge

Experience with multiphase DC/DC converters

Mixed-signal Integrated Circuit/System knowledge

Control loop theory understanding

Lab equipment proficiency

Automation of lab testing

Education

MS in Engineering or technical equivalent
