Job summary

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is hiring a Protection Engineer to deliver power system protection services, including model development, short circuit analysis, and relay settings development.

The role also involves leading area coordination studies and standards reviews, and providing technical reviews of drawings and settings. The successful candidate will mentor less experienced engineers, contributing to team knowledge transfer and project quality.

Qualifications

• BSEE or equivalent degree.
• 5+ years protection engineering experience.
• P.E. license preferred.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Applicants must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Provide power system protection services including model development, short circuit analysis, relay settings development, area coordination studies, standards development, relay operation analysis, and technical reviews of drawings and relay settings.
• Mentor less experienced engineers through direct training and technical review of work.
