Job summary

Jobgether seeks a Senior Data Systems Developer based in the United States to lead enterprise Power Apps development and data workflows. You will design user-centered screens and automate processes with Power Automate, connecting to SQL Server, SharePoint, and downstream analytics.

The role emphasizes security, accessibility, and long-term maintainability, with ownership over app quality and stakeholder collaboration. Fully remote within the U.S. and salary on a competitive federal-scale range.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, data science, or a related technical field; a master's degree is desirable.
8+ years of experience in application or data systems development, including enterprise-grade Power Apps solutions.
Power Platform expertise with Power Apps (canvas/model-driven) as the primary technical focus.
Experience building workflow-driven processes using Power Apps and Power Automate.
Experience designing Power Apps that feed Power BI with clean data structures and performant models.
Experience integrating with SQL Server and SharePoint; knowledge of database concepts.
Ability to translate complex workflows into intuitive user experiences for non-technical users.
Familiarity with federal data governance, security, and accessibility requirements (FISMA, Section 508/WCAG 2.0 AA).
Preferred government experience in VA/VHA contexts and related systems.

Responsibilities

Lead Power Apps development of canvas and model-driven interfaces serving data entry, routing, approvals, and operations.
Design intuitive screens, forms, and workflows with a user-centered approach.
Architect data flows between Power Apps and SQL Server for validated data movement.
Collaborate with data engineers to align application inputs with database schemas and models.
Automate business processes with Power Automate, linking apps to data sources and notifications.
Enable analytics by structuring data for Power BI reporting with quality data.
Implement security/access controls across Power Apps, Dataverse, and SharePoint per federal standards.
Lead testing, QA, and user acceptance testing for new/updated apps and workflows.
Document architecture, data flows, version control, and change management; support training.
