Job summary

AECOM in Houston is seeking developers to work on a broad range of projects, transforming data and automating processes for federal, state, local, and private-sector clients. This client-facing role requires strong communication and a willingness to lead workshops with clients in person or remotely, and to allocate daily time across multiple projects.

You should have solid Power Platform skills, ETL and database knowledge, and experience with data workflows, dashboards, and API integration.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Information Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related degree +6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Experience designing and building tools for process automation solutions, including PowerApps or competitive platforms
• Experience designing and building dashboards
• Working understanding of relational databases
• Preferred qualifications: SharePoint Development, Web Development, JavaScript, SQL Database, Azure services, Python, C#, HTML5, Node.JS, REACT, ArcGIS

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain business automation and intelligence tools and the data structures which supply them.
• Understand what clients need to do with data and work with experts and coworkers to accomplish it.
• Plan the steps required to accomplish a client’s requirements and estimate the effort and schedule needed to complete them.
• Articulate technical challenges and proposed solutions to non-technical decision makers.
• Query databases and use APIs to obtain data.
• Suggest innovative solutions for client requirements.
• Initiate contact with mentors and coworkers to work through problems and questions.
• Proactively engage with coworkers and clients throughout the world.
