Torch Technologies in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Software Engineer 3 to support the Missile Defense Agency Modeling & Simulation System Integration team. You will design, build, and maintain automation across Power Platform, SharePoint, Jira, and Confluence to improve cross-team efficiency.

The role emphasizes secure, high‑quality software, agile practices, and collaboration with systems engineers to translate complex requirements into practical tooling and workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of applicable software engineering, business process automation, or software development experience.
• Active Secret security clearance
• U.S. Citizenship
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Experience developing custom process automation tools, workflows, forms, and collaboration solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
• Experience using AI-powered development tools to support daily software development and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint Online, Jira, and Confluence.
• Build automated processes for data extraction, transformation, reporting, task tracking, and repeatable business operations to reduce manual effort.
• Develop intuitive front-ends and forms with strong usability and user experience focus.
• Collaborate with Senior Systems Engineers to translate requirements into functional software capabilities and site configurations.
• Design and maintain SharePoint sites and Confluence spaces with proper content structures and permissions.
• Monitor automation tools for performance, reliability, data quality, and security; identify improvement opportunities.
