Job summary

DTE Energy seeks an experienced O&M Technician - Level 4 for its Ashtabula, OH facility. The role focuses on safe, efficient operation of all power plant equipment and assistance with maintenance under senior supervision.

Responsibilities include following SOPs, maintaining logs, performing chemistry checks, and supporting preventive maintenance. Applicants should have an Ohio 3rd class license and relevant power plant experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ohio 3rd class Stationary Engineers license.
• 5 years power plant ops/maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of gas turbines, HRSGs, water treatment, RO, air compressors, and related equipment.
• Ability to read/write in English and perform basic math.
• Familiarity with SOPs, risk assessments, and LOTO.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain power plant equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow SOPs, safety standards, and job instructions.
• Log shift activities, time sheets, and work orders accurately.
• Conduct routine chemical testing and monitor consumables.
• Inspect electrical and mechanical systems; report issues.
• Assist with maintenance tasks under supervision.
• Participate in site safety team and maintain housekeeping.
