Job summary

This is a full-time AFSCME bargaining unit position with a base salary of $94,148.60.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of industrial heating systems and power plant operations.
• Familiarity with pneumatics and pneumatic controls used in plant ops.
• Basic electrical practice and safety awareness in utility systems.

Responsibilities

• Checks, inspects and monitors machinery and systems to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Operates boilers, chillers, pumps and valves to provide power.
• Repairs and overhauls equipment; replaces turbines, burners, motors and pumps as needed.
• Responds to emergencies and determines appropriate shutdowns to protect the plant.
• Cleans and maintains work areas and plant equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
