Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Senior Electricity Market Optimization Software Engineer in Bellevue, WA to help enhance and support a large on-premise MMS. You will lead and contribute to power system optimization software development for utilities, ISOs, and TSOs.

You will guide a team of engineers, write design and test docs, and ensure delivery within scope while collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with power systems or optimization.
• Minimum two years of power systems analysis experience in electricity market optimization.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and evolve software in an agile environment.
• Provide domain knowledge and technical leadership to a team of engineers.
• Lead electricity market app development and ensure on-schedule delivery.
• Create design notes, testing procedures, and related documentation.
• Provide budget estimates for new tasks to leads and managers.
• Collaborate with customers to ensure quality and functional requirements.
• Mentor junior team members
• Interact with cross-functional teams and apply SDLC, Lean/Agile, CI, and testing techniques
