Job summary

GE Vernova in Bellevue, WA seeks a Senior Electricity Market Optimization Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize power systems software for a large on-premise MMS used by utilities and ISOs.

You will lead projects, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while applying Lean/Agile practices to ensure on-time delivery, robust testing, and scalable architectures.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering in power systems or optimization.
• Two+ years of experience in power systems analysis with focus on electricity market optimization application development.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and evolve software in a fast-paced, agile environment using modern technologies and infrastructure.
• Provide domain knowledge and technical leadership to a team of electricity markets application software engineers.
• Lead development of electricity market applications to deliver on schedule, within budget, and meeting customer expectations.
• Write design notes, testing procedures, and related documentation.
• Provide budget estimates for new project tasks to leads and managers.
• Collaborate with customers throughout the project lifecycle to ensure quality and functional requirements.
