Job summary

Wood Mackenzie is seeking a Principal Consultant to lead Power Market Modelling and Analysis across North American markets. You will manage complex PCM engagements, drive client deliverables, and mentor junior staff, while coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic insights.

You will build and interpret production cost models (PLEXOS/AURORA/PROMOD), develop dashboards and scenario analyses, and contribute to business development through client-facing work and thought

Qualifications

• Direct experience within power & renewables consulting with project management
• 7+ years in power/renewables consulting with 5+ years of hands-on PCM modelling
• Undergraduate degree in engineering, math, physics, economics or finance; graduate degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end PCM engagements and model development
• Coach junior team members and QA deliverables
• Communicate with clients and project leads with clear, credible storytelling
• Support business development and asset valuation analyses
• Develop dashboards, tables, charts and client-ready outputs
