Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Transmission Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of electric transmission projects. You will guide cross-functional teams, manage schedules and budgets, mitigate risks, and ensure safe, compliant delivery aligned with regulatory and client requirements.

The ideal candidate combines strong project leadership with deep knowledge of transmission systems and utility operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience managing utility, transmission, energy infrastructure, or large-scale capital projects.
• Proven experience leading complex, multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Strong knowledge of transmission systems, utility operations, and project delivery methodologies.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and risk management processes.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of transmission projects, including planning, engineering, procurement, construction, and closeout activities.
• Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate with engineering, environmental, permitting, construction, and operations teams to ensure project success.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, leadership teams, customers, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while proactively resolving issues that may impact project objectives.
• Monitor project performance and provide regular status updates, forecasts, and executive-level reporting.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, environmental regulations, and company policies.
• Manage contractor and vendor performance to ensure quality, cost control, and schedule adherence.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices in project delivery.
• Support strategic planning efforts and contribute to the development of transmission infrastructure programs.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
