Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Mechanical Power Engineer to join its national Power Generation team. This role involves overseeing project mechanical teams and supporting clients in implementing natural gas and renewable energy projects. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in utility-scale power generation, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead complex projects while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in power generation design.
• Gas turbine, steam turbine and/or large reciprocating engine experience.
• Design experience with simple cycle and combined cycle power generation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project mechanical team and coordination with other engineering disciplines.
• Provide mechanical engineering support for detailed design and owner’s engineer projects.
• Monitor and communicate project status.
