Job summary

Burns & McDonnell (1898 & Co. division) is seeking a Consultant for the Power & Fuels Asset Advisory team in Denver, CO. You will conduct in-depth technical and financial studies to guide decision-making on fossil-generation assets.

You will lead analyses, mentor teammates, and contribute to client presentations while supporting proposals and engagement work across multiple projects. This full-time role requires travel and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required from an accredited program; 7+ years related experience
• Experience with fossil generation including asset due diligence and cost benchmarking
• Strong communication, leadership and analytical skills
• Ability to travel and manage multiple projects

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of consulting studies including condition assessments and independent reviews
• Develop asset management plans and maintenance strategies
• Conduct life-cycle cost analysis with capex, O&M, and forecasting
• Assess regulatory risks related to evolving energy policies
• Deliver technical reports and client presentations summarizing findings
• Support business development and proposal activities
• Mentor junior team members on best practices
