Job summary

WSP is seeking a Sr Project Manager (Power & Energy) to lead a portfolio in Amarillo, TX. You will provide high-level technical leadership, manage administrative, commercial and technical aspects, and ensure delivery with safety, quality, and profitability.

You will oversee cross-functional teams, develop proposals and cost plans, and mentor staff while maintaining strong client relations and project controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related major or equivalent experience.
• Essential project management certification required (e.g., PMP, CAP-M).
• 10+ years of post-education project management experience.
• Strong understanding of A/E/C project delivery and QA/QC adherence.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and PM tools; ability to manage complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cross-functional teams to execute mid-to-large projects, track hours, expenses, and deliverables.
• Lead development of proposals, cost estimates, scope, schedules and resource plans.
• Develop WBS tasks and estimated costs; manage reviews and QA/QC.
• Maintain client communications, monthly status reporting, and risk management.
• Mentor project staff; perform margin analyses and forecast cash flow.
• Coordinate with area managers on resources and subcontracting; ensure safety and compliance.
• Conduct project startup, execution, reporting, and closeout per PMAP and policies.
