Job summary

GE Aerospace in Utah (St. George) seeks an Electrical Systems Engineer to lead high‑reliability digital power conversion and electric drive systems, spanning architecture, design, verification, and validation of Thermal Management Systems for aerospace hardware.

You will collaborate across hardware, test, and manufacturing teams, own system requirements, drive HV design and insulation coordination, and mentor junior engineers, with relocation support and a competitive base pay.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in power electronics or electric drives.
• 15+ years of electrical systems engineering experience in aerospace or similar demanding environments.
• Proven leadership in design, verification, and validation of power conversion hardware and control electronics.

Responsibilities

• Own system-level requirements flow-down for digital power conversion hardware and ensure traceability.
• Document and communicate design decisions, analyses, and test outcomes through formal reports and reviews.
• Lead architecture and detailed design of digital power conversion with HV awareness.
• Plan and execute verification and validation of digital power hardware and systems.
• Define insulation coordination and HV design rules for kilovolt converters and drives.
• Design and review PCBs and schematics for power stages and sensing modules.
• Lead high-voltage testing and qualification activities, including partial discharge tests.
• Collaborate with AI&T to develop automated test benches and lab infrastructure.
• Provide technical guidance to early career engineers in power converter design.
• Contribute to proposals, trade studies, and roadmaps for TMS control systems.
