Job summary

GRAM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer focusing on power electronics to own the complete power path from architecture through released hardware in our Palo Alto facility. You will design switching converters, motor-drive stages, and protection networks, while validating performance across duty cycles, transients, and fault cases.

The role requires deep experience with MOSFET/GaN switching, sensing, thermal design, EMI/EMC, and multilayer PCBs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience in power-electronics hardware design and testing.

Responsibilities

• Own power conversion, distribution, switching, protection, and measurement from architecture through released hardware.
• Design and release switching power converters, motor-drive or pulsed-load stages, gate drives, sensing circuits, protection networks, and power distribution.
• Model switching behavior, losses, magnetics, and control-loop stability using first-principles calculations and circuit simulations.
• Bring up hardware with test equipment and automated acquisition under normal and fault conditions.
• Diagnose failures and implement design changes with traceable revision history.
