Job summary

Accelevation is seeking an experienced Senior Power Electronics Engineer to design, build, and test high-power industrial electronic products. You will take designs from concept through prototype testing and production, focusing on high-voltage and high-current hardware.

The role requires hands-on lab work, familiarity with Altium Designer, and the ability to own hardware designs through certification processes, including EMI/EMC and UL/IEC standards, in an on-site environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in power electronics hardware design.
  • Strong knowledge of power-conversion and analog circuit design.
  • Experience with high-voltage and three-phase systems.
  • Hands-on laboratory and troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience with Altium Designer or a similar design tool.
  • Familiarity with EMI/EMC, grounding, isolation, creepage, and clearance.
  • Ability to independently take ownership of a hardware design.
  • Experience with digital power control and UL/IEC certification is preferred.

Job description

Location: Miamisburg, OH

Position: Full-Time, On-Site

The right candidate will have practical experience developing high-voltage and high-current hardware and taking designs from concept through prototype testing and production.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Employees must be able to hear, speak, and communicate effectively. Work occurs in data center environments with potential exposure to electrical hazards, noise, and varying temperatures. Flexible hours, including nights and weekends, may be required. Physical requirements include bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead. Must lift at least 50 lbs and work at heights up to 90 ft using ladders, scaffolds, or lifts.
