Würth Group North America is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Project Manager to lead development of low- and high-voltage DC power and signal distribution products from concept through production launch. You will work closely with customers, sales, engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with high quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • 5+ years of electrical design/testing experience.
  • 3+ years in project engineering or project management.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and customer-facing skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze customer requirements for new product opportunities.
  • Provide technical support to customers, sales, and engineering stakeholders.
  • Develop electrical power distribution concepts, system architectures, and block diagrams.
  • Select electrical components and create Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Author technical specifications, design docs, and engineering reports.
  • Lead projects through all phases of the Product Life Cycle from concept to production launch.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, timelines, and Gantt charts.
  • Estimate engineering effort and NRE costs.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to meet milestones and deadlines.
  • Support manufacturing operations and product changes for manufacturability.
  • Manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and product revisions.
  • Build and troubleshoot prototypes and perform validation testing.
  • Lead customer design reviews and internal engineering reviews.
  • Mentor junior engineers and designers.
  • Provide regular project status updates to management.
  • Travel to customer locations as needed.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Project Manager to lead the development of low- and high-voltage DC power and signal distribution products from concept through production launch.

This position combines technical leadership, project management, customer engagement, and hands-on engineering support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical design, product development, manufacturing, and cross-functional project leadership.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers, sales, engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and analyze customer technical requirements for new product opportunities.
  • Provide technical support to customers, sales teams, and engineering stakeholders.
  • Develop electrical power distribution concepts, system architectures, and block diagrams.
  • Select electrical components and create Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Author technical specifications, design documentation, and engineering reports.
  • Lead projects through all phases of the Product Life Cycle (PLC), from concept and prototyping through production launch.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, timelines, and Gantt charts.
  • Estimate engineering effort and Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) costs.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones and customer deadlines.
  • Support manufacturing operations and product changes for continuous improvement and manufacturability.
  • Manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and product revisions.
  • Build and troubleshoot prototypes and perform electrical and mechanical validation testing.
  • Lead customer design reviews and internal engineering reviews.
  • Mentor junior engineers and designers.
  • Provide regular project status updates to management.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of electrical design and testing experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience with electrical component selection and BOM management.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and customer-facing skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with PCB design and layout review.
  • Experience with high-voltage DC power distribution systems.
  • Familiarity with CAN communication networks.
  • Experience with APQP, DFMEA, and product validation processes.
  • Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) experience.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and 8D corrective actions.
  • Hands-on prototype assembly and troubleshooting experience.
