Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks an experienced Power Controls Engineer to design and validate advanced control systems for high-performance power electronics used in defense and aerospace applications.

You will model, simulate, and implement control architectures for DC/DC converters, inverters, and motor drives with SiC/GaN devices, collaborating with hardware and firmware teams to deliver robust, mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years designing and tuning digital control loops for power electronic converters.
• Proficiency in Simulink and/or PLECS for modeling and analysis.
• Strong foundation in z-domain/s-domain design, bode analysis, state-space, and discrete-time implementation.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, and validate closed-loop control for switch-mode converters and inverters using Simulink/PLECS.
• Develop plant models and controller architectures for multi-kW power stages with SiC/GaN devices.
• Collaborate with power hardware and firmware engineers on gate drive tuning and switching-loss characterization.
• Define and execute hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and PHIL test plans to validate control performance.
