Job summary

John Deere is seeking a Senior PE Control System Engineer to develop advanced electric drive controls for a broad range of applications. The role is based in Fargo, ND with Cary, NC as an option, onsite only.

You will validate software through code development, HIL validation, dyno testing, and field integration support, and mentor other developers in design and testing practices. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in power electronics and/or control algorithm development.
• Demonstrated experience with simulation tools for power electronics or electric drives.
• 3+ years of hands-on power electronics and/or drivetrain testing (HIL, lab, field).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills (English).
• Relevant research experience in academic institutes will be equally considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced electric drive controls solutions at component and system levels.
• Validate and deliver controls software through code development, HIL validation, dyno testing, and field integration support.
• Conduct advanced eDrive and vehicle system simulation to support features development and performance assessment.
• Interface with stakeholders to develop control system requirements that support vehicle electrification.
