Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, inc. seeks a Senior Engineer in Power Distribution to upgrade and expand distribution systems across the United States. The role requires 5–10 years of relevant experience, ABET-accredited degrees, and strong knowledge of NESC/IEEE/ASCE standards.

You will mentor engineers, review designs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The position involves managing multiple projects, engaging with clients, and traveling to site as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree(s) in electrical-related engineering with substantial distribution experience.
• Experience in overhead/underground distribution line design, code compliance, and project delivery.
• Ability to mentor engineers and lead multiple concurrent projects.
• Proficiency with utility design standards and office software.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of overhead and underground distribution projects from concept to construction support.
• Apply engineering methods, standards, and regulatory requirements to ensure quality deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct peer reviews of drawings and analyses.
• Coordinate with subconsultants, teams, and clients to meet project goals.
• Maintain client relationships and identify opportunities for new work.
