Job summary

WECTEC Staffing Services in Viking, MN seeks a Power and Controls Compliance Inspector (E&I) to verify electrical, communications, and instrumentation systems meet design and NEC standards on pipeline and industrial projects. You will work with a Chief Inspector or a Resident Engineer and keep meticulous records.

This on-site role emphasizes safety, quality, and on-building inspections with a base salary range of $40.00–$45.00 per hour, plus comprehensive benefits and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Electrical Inspector/Technician or journeyman, including 2+ years in pipeline or plant settings.
• Fluency with National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines.
• Meets the baseline requirements of a Utility Inspector.

Responsibilities

• Guard installation integrity for electrical, communication, and instrumentation systems on construction projects.
• Maintain inspector’s log and deliver comprehensive inspection reports.
• Elevate safety concerns to the Chief Inspector and Safety Inspector.
• Channel design changes and material substitutions through the Chief Inspector/Resident Engineer and secure Company approval.
