Job summary

Talent is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to lead enterprise BI efforts from a fully remote US base. The role focuses on building scalable reporting, shaping architecture decisions, and driving Microsoft Fabric adoption across the organization.

You will mentor junior developers, partner with Data Engineering and business stakeholders, and set governance and performance standards to deliver impactful data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Power BI development or business intelligence.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Power BI, DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling.
• Experience working with Microsoft Fabric, including its architecture and capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of semantic models, star schema design, and enterprise reporting solutions.
• Experience with Git-based source control and application lifecycle management.
• Experience implementing reporting governance, security, and performance optimization practices.
• Ability to independently lead technical initiatives and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and optimization of enterprise Power BI reporting solutions, including advanced DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
• Help drive the organization's transition to Microsoft Fabric, contributing to architecture, implementation, and modernization initiatives.
• Design and maintain scalable semantic models, star schemas, and reporting architecture.
• Establish best practices for Power BI governance, security, performance optimization, and development standards.
• Implement Git-based source control and application lifecycle management processes.
• Partner with Data Engineering and business stakeholders to translate complex reporting requirements into scalable solutions.
• Serve as a technical lead and mentor to junior Power BI developers, providing guidance on complex technical challenges.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting performance, data consistency, and overall analytics capabilities.
