Job summary

Tekgence Inc. in Santa Clara seeks a Sr. Power BI / Microsoft Fabric Developer to design and deliver enterprise BI solutions. You will gather reporting requirements, build scalable semantic models, and create high-impact dashboards translating complex data into actionable insights.

The ideal candidate combines expert Power BI and DAX skills with hands-on Microsoft Fabric and Databricks experience, and can deliver production-quality solutions independently in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Qualifications

Expert-level Power BI Desktop and service experience.
Advanced DAX, Power Query, semantic modeling, and report design.
Advanced SQL skills including complex queries, joins, and optimization.
Hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience including Lakehouse/Warehouse, OneLake, and pipelines.
Experience connecting Power BI to Databricks and Databricks SQL warehouses.
Knowledge of data security, governance, and access controls.

Responsibilities

Gather reporting requirements and translate into dashboards and visualizations.
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Power BI reports and semantic models.
Create efficient data models, relationships, calculations, and KPIs using DAX.
Use Power Query and SQL to transform and prepare data for reporting.
Integrate Power BI with Microsoft Fabric and Databricks sources.
Optimize performance of reports, queries, and semantic models.
Implement data security, workspace permissions, and row-level security.
Document report logic, data sources, and refresh processes.
Collaborate with stakeholders and data teams to resolve data-quality issues.
