Job summary

Primary Talent Partners is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to support the Microsoft Fabric and Power BI reporting environment in O Fallon, MO. This 2-month contract focuses on scalable data models, semantic modeling, notebook-based transformations, and robust Power BI solutions.

The candidate will design and implement dimensional models, develop advanced DAX calculations, and contribute to data engineering efforts, including security and distribution controls for enterprise dashboards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Power BI development experience.
• Advanced DAX expertise for complex requirements.
• Strong dimensional/modelling experience including star and snowflake schemas.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric implementation and development.
• Experience developing notebooks using Python and SQL.
• Experience designing enterprise reporting and analytics solutions.
• Knowledge of data integration and transformation patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable dimensional models and semantic models within Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
• Structure complex datasets using fact and dimension modeling techniques including star and snowflake schemas.
• Analyze existing data structures and implement improvements for scalability, performance, and usability.
• Optimize model relationships and reporting performance.
