Job summary

Jobtailor in Chantilly, VA, is seeking a senior BI professional to design, develop, and support enterprise BI solutions using Power BI, SSAS Tabular, and SSRS. You will lead architecture, requirements, and governance while mentoring analysts and delivering scalable analytics across the organization.

You will collaborate with DBAs, data engineers, and stakeholders to optimize data models, implement advanced DAX, and deliver executive dashboards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field required; equivalent combination may be considered.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience developing solutions with Microsoft Power BI.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience supporting enterprise data warehouse and BI environments.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience with SSRS.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience with SSAS.
• Experience deploying, supporting, and administering large-scale BI solutions.
• Strong Power BI administration including security, governance, and user management.
• Extensive experience developing complex Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and DAX.
• Experience developing and supporting SSAS Tabular models.
• Excellent understanding of data analysis, dimensional modeling, and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise BI solutions using Power BI, SSAS Tabular, SSRS.
• Lead requirements gathering, architecture, system design, estimation, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Design and govern enterprise semantic models with KPIs and RLS.
• Develop advanced DAX, optimize data models, SQL queries, and reporting for performance and usability.
• Create executive dashboards and reports using Power BI best practices.
• Integrate data from data warehouses, Azure Data Lakes, and Power BI Dataflows.
• Support tenant migrations, including analysis, refactoring, validation, and governance.
• Collaborate with DBAs, ETL developers, data engineers, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Define BI strategy, architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practices.
• Architect and support enterprise data marts and SSAS Tabular models.
