Job summary

Visio Lending is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to craft trusted Power BI reports and semantic models from governed data.

You will own the BI platform's operation, partner with stakeholders, and ensure robust analytics delivery while collaborating across engineering, security, and analytics teams. This role supports a fully remote-friendly environment and requires strong SQL, DAX, and UX skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, business analytics, computer science, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of professional BI reporting and semantic modeling experience.
• Strong report-design and user-experience skills for clear dashboards.
• Proficient SQL writing, data exploration, and query-validation capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Experience administering Power BI workspaces and governance in production.
• Comfort using AI tools to accelerate BI work while validating outputs.
• Strong written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and apps.
• Translate business questions into clear report layouts with intuitive UX.
• Own day-to-day Power BI platform operation, settings, and licensing.
• Write, validate, and tune complex SQL against governed views.
• Develop reusable semantic models with DAX calculations and Power Query steps.
• Create robust measures and validate results against business examples.
• Prototype reports and iterate based on stakeholder feedback.
• Use AI tools responsibly to accelerate design, testing, and documentation.
• Publish and maintain content through standard release processes.
