RPM Industrial Coatings Group seeks a Sr. Powder Chemist (Metallics/Special Effects) to join the R&D team, developing and optimizing powder coating formulations, resolving complex formulation challenges, and supporting scale-up to production.

The role requires collaboration across R&D, manufacturing, quality, sales, and customers. You will design experiments, color-match metallic standards, and translate market needs into practical development strategies while ensuring robust, reproducible

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline
• 5+ years of relevant experience in coatings, powder coatings, polymers or a closely related field
• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field

Aufgaben

• Develop and optimize powder coating formulations for various performance requirements, applications, substrates, and end-use markets
• Design and execute laboratory experiments to evaluate formulation variables, identify root causes, and solve complex technical problems
• Lead technical aspects of new product development and commercialization projects, establishing scope, plans, milestones, and deliverables
• Provide technical support to manufacturing, quality, sales, and other internal teams
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to less-experienced laboratory personnel
