Qualifications

• 5+ years of PostgreSQL operations including performance tuning and incident troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with high availability and disaster recovery.
• Practical experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code workflows.

Responsibilities

• Scale and tune high-throughput PostgreSQL clusters.
• Own PostgreSQL reliability fundamentals and operations.
• Build and operate vector data capabilities like pgvector.

Skills

Operating PostgreSQL in high-volume production environments

Understanding of PostgreSQL internals

High availability and read scaling experience

Experience with connection pooling for PostgreSQL

Practical VectorDB experience

Ability to reason about vector index types

CI/CD, GitOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code workflows

Solid cloud, Linux, storage, and networking fundamentals

Containers and orchestration platforms experience

Security instincts around access control and encryption

Observability expertise

Strong communication and collaboration skills
